About Anatemia

This novel series is called Souls of Anatemia…but what is Anatemia? Why is it called Souls? Well Anatemia is a world, but it is a world in a computer game, and it’s called Souls because a group of people from this world, have their souls sucked in to become their characters. Pretty simple stuff maybe, but what is the world actually like? In the Souls series we explore a world that is familiar and yet alien, and we follow a group of people who have to adjust to new lives and the challenges they then face.

There are literally hundreds of computer games out there, many of these are fantasy games, many, many fantasy worlds created by other gamers, this probably began with role play and D & D many years ago. They generally follow a distinct pattern and set of rules, which naturally of course don’t make sense… Yes they are a fantasy and they are a game, I merely point out all the different ways in which they don’t make sense as a world. What happens in the Souls series is how a group of ordinary people getting sucked into a game find a real world that takes the piss out the ways in which games don’t work…so sit back and enjoy all those fantasy rules that when examined closely make about as much sense as an interview with Charlie Sheen.
