The Eastern Dead Hinterlands are like a kind of mirror to the Western half, forming an unbroken ring of undeath around the heartland of the dead. It is almost entirely given over to the undead and an incredibly dangerous place to be. The main city in this region was Wroxter, a large and well adorned city that was largely destroyed during the earliest wars between city states by Northolt to the West. It never really recovered large parts have remained in ruin for centuries, largely empty bar a few skeletons and Feltchin Wroxter is a mecca for hunters of unusual treasure. There a lot of small villages here who all have their own stories, such as More whose dam has burst swamping the fields beyond in a low lying marsh land now populated by bloated zombies charmingly nicknamed “Fatties” by levellers, or the village of Corfham, a former garrison settlement the soldiers of which fought bravely against the undead but in death they became crack troops for the undead. Passing their old fort will cause you to be shot at by cannon. 
Each of the woods here have something different from unseeing ghost voices to random vendors taking advantage of the situation it is clear that no-one is safe in no matter what, do not travel alone here.
The town of Caus is the main safe settlement in the area and is the headquarters for the Order of Otsan a mighty force against the undead and demonic incursions. While not far to the south is Stanner’s Refuge where a hardened few vigilantes and nutcase types can be found questing in the area.
